What you will learn?

Learn how to use Cursor as a tool to design and develop design system components, document them, and bring them to pages. We'll look at Figma MCP, Chrome DevTools MCP, typical AI coding traps (especially if you're not a coder), and a systematic way to get production-ready code with one prompt.

You'll learn how to build components, maintain them, document them, and build pages and views out of these components. This hands-on workshop will guide you through setting up Cursor, understanding workflows, and mastering iteration when creating code.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have practical experience with spec-driven development, using MCPs, polishing design system documentation, creating application pages, and understanding workflows between coding designers and engineering teams.

Building a Design System 🛠️ Our members participated in the Hands-on with Design Systems workshop by Varya Stepanova and Sherif Saleh. It was about building design systems with Figma and React and gaining in-depth hands-on experience. It was especially exciting to see how other companies build their design systems and to exchange experiences.
